イエス（彼に平安がありますよう）を例に考えると、人間としての美しいモデルが見えてきます。ただし、礼拝については重要な区別があります。イエス自身が人々に「一つの神」を礼拝するよう指示したのです――それは彼自身が礼拝していた神と同じ神です。この点はイスラム教の教えと完全に一致しています。

イスラムでは、イエスを高貴な預言者として捉え、常に人々にアッラーだけを礼拝するよう呼びかけたと信じています。彼は弟子たちに、自分自身や聖人ではなく、一つの神へ祈ることを教えました。この純粋な一神論こそが、私たちの信仰の基盤です。

真摯に信仰を学ぶ者同士で共通点があると知ると心温まります。人々が自分の宗教を真剣に研究するとき、多くの場合「神は一つだ」という類似した真実にたどり着きます。イスラム徒は、人生を通じて知恵を追求するという原則を体現しているため、このような知識と理解への献身を大切にしています。

創造主だけを礼拝し、創造物ではなく創造主を崇めることに重点を置くこの共通の姿勢は、私たちの霊的旅路において謙遜と誠実さがいかに重要であるかを思い出させてくれます。真の献身とは、アッラーだけにすべての礼拝を捧げることであり、それはイエスを含む全預言者たちの例に従って、人々を常に彼らの主へと導いたことを示しています。

When we reflect on the example of Jesus (peace be upon him), we find a beautiful model for humanity. However, there’s an important distinction to make about worship. Jesus himself directed people to worship the One God – the same God that he worshipped. This is a profound point that aligns perfectly with Islamic teachings.

In Islam, we believe that Jesus was a noble prophet who consistently called people to worship Allah alone. He specifically taught his followers to pray to the One God, not to himself or to saints. This pure monotheism is the foundation of our faith.

It’s heartening to recognize the common ground between sincere believers. When people study their faith seriously, they often arrive at similar truths about the oneness of God. Muslims deeply value this commitment to seeking knowledge and understanding, as it reflects the Islamic principle of pursuing wisdom throughout one’s life.

This shared emphasis on worshipping the Creator alone, rather than His creation, reminds us of the importance of humility and sincerity in our spiritual journey. It teaches us that true devotion means directing all worship to Allah, who alone deserves it, following the example of all the prophets including Jesus, who consistently pointed people toward their Lord.
