アルハムドリッラ（感謝します）――イスラム教プログラムに参加し、誠実な質問を投げかけた結果、彼女は明確さを得ました。両聖書とコーランからの証拠が彼女の求める心に響きました。その瞬間、彼女はシャハーダ（信仰告白）「ラ・イルア・イッラー・アッラー・ムハンマドゥル・ラスール・ウッラー」を朗読し、イスラム教を受け入れました。この美しい変容は、誰かが真理を誠実に求めるとき、アッラーがその道へ導くことを示しています。
また、別の姉妹の力強い証言も思い出します。彼女は困難な時期を経験し、宗教的儀式に参加しなかったために家から追い出されることさえありました。彼女は宗教が人々を分断すると感じて最初は関わりたくありませんでした。しかし、彼女の内なるフィトラ―神を愛する自然な傾向――それは揺らぐことなく存在していました。アッラー（計画者の中で最高の方）が、判断のない真摯な友情を提供したムスリム姉妹の優しさを通じて彼女に導きました。
その姉妹はイスラム教が本当に何を表しているか―慈悲、親切、受容――を示しました。彼女は家族を夕食に招待し、文化的な違いにも関わらず愛し、言葉だけでなく行動によって私たちの信仰の美しさを実証しました。そして最後にシャハーダを口にしたとき、心に即座に安堵が訪れました。スバーハッラー（アッラーは偉大な方）。
この話はダウア―イスラム教のメッセージを広めることについて重要な教訓を与えてくれます。私たちはしばしばダウアが壮大なジェスチャーや精巧なプレゼンテーションを必要とすると考えますが、実際には他者への接し方にあるのです。笑顔、親切さ、異なる人々とパンを分かち合う意思――これらがダウアの本質です。アッラーは知恵の中で多様性を創造し、人々に寛容と慈悲を教えるためにいます。
すべての預言者の使命は人々を創造主へ呼び寄せることでした。そして私たちは日常の行動を通じてこの高貴な仕事を継続しています。私たちは小さなジェスチャーで親切さを示しているでしょうか？兄弟姉妹に手を差し伸べていますか？自分の家族内でも、子供たちは私たちの行動を観察し、イスラム教について学びます。
世界中には数十億もの人々がいます。彼らは私たちの笑顔、親切さ、そしてイスラム教の平和を体験するために待っています。彼らに心を開き、真実なる一神への服従から来る平安を得るよう招くのでしょうか？慈悲を示し、イスラム教の美しさを私たちの人格で共有することで、私たちはミュスリムとしての義務を果たし、愛しい預言者マホメット（彼に平安があります）の例に従うことができます。
Today I want to share a beautiful story about the power of sincere invitation and how Allah guides those who seek truth. There was a sister named Cheryl who came from a Christian background, deeply studying her Bible. She noticed something profound – while the Old Testament clearly speaks about the absolute oneness of God, the New Testament seemed to introduce the concept of Trinity. This contradiction troubled her heart, and she earnestly sought answers about whether we should believe in the oneness of God or the Trinity.
Alhamdulillah, through attending an Islamic program and asking sincere questions, she found clarity. The evidence from both Testaments and the Quran resonated with her seeking heart. Right there, she recited the Shahada – “La ilaha illallah Muhammadur rasulullah” – and embraced Islam. This beautiful transformation shows us that when someone sincerely seeks truth, Allah guides them to it.
This reminds me of another powerful testimony from a sister who shared her journey. She experienced difficult times, even being locked out of her home for not attending religious services. She felt religion divided people and wanted no part of it initially. But deep within her fitrah – that natural disposition to love God – never wavered. Allah, the best of planners, guided her through the kindness of a Muslim sister who offered genuine friendship without judgment.
This sister showed her what Islam truly represents – compassion, kindness, and acceptance. She invited her family for dinner, loved her despite cultural differences, and demonstrated the beauty of our faith through actions rather than just words. When she finally took her Shahada, immediate relief settled in her heart, SubhanAllah.
This teaches us an essential lesson about dawah – spreading the message of Islam. Often we think dawah requires grand gestures or elaborate presentations, but truly it’s in how we treat others. It’s in our smiles, our kindness, our willingness to break bread with those different from us. Allah in His wisdom created diversity among people to teach us tolerance and compassion.
Every prophet’s mission was to call people to their Creator, and we continue this noble work through our everyday actions. Are we demonstrating kindness through simple gestures? Are we reaching out to our brothers and sisters? Even within our own families, our children observe our behavior and learn about Islam through how we live it.
There are billions of people out there waiting for our smile, waiting for our kindness, waiting to experience the peace of Islam through our actions. Will we open our hearts to them? Will we invite them to gain the peace that comes from submitting to the One True God? Let’s not keep them waiting – for in showing compassion and sharing the beauty of Islam through our character, we fulfill our duty as Muslims and follow the example of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
