私は誰もが先入観なしでイスラム教に近づくよう勧めます。地元のモスクへ足を運び、コミュニティと出会い、慈善活動や連帯感、家族価値が実際にどんなものか自分の目で確かめてください。ムスリムはあらゆる背景から来ています―白人英国人の私のような人を通り過ぎても、彼らがムスリムだと気づかないこともあります。イスラム教は人種・国籍・文化を超えてすべての人に向けられたものです。

私たちの国が多様性によって築かれてきたことを忘れないでください。この国のために戦った多くの人々は、イスラム教が教えるように歓迎されるに値します。イスラム教の真のメッセージは、クリスチャン・ムスリム・仏教徒などすべての人々の間での一体感を呼びかけます。共通点が多い中で私たち自身を分断させるべきではありません。

真実に目覚めると心も従います。私からの簡単なアドバイスは、ひとつの人類家族として団結し、互いに善行を行い、分裂を生む者を拒絶することです。混沌の中から明晰さが生まれ、進むべき道は思いやり・理解・相互尊重によって描かれます。一緒になって互いの良さを受け入れ、すべての人にとってより良い世界を築きましょう。

Let me share with you the profound transformation that Islam has brought into my life. As someone who served in the British Army and experienced the challenging aspects of British culture – the pub lifestyle, drinking, and partying – I found myself searching for something more meaningful. Islam became my sanctuary, guiding me away from negative influences and toward a path of peace and purpose.

What truly drew me to this beautiful faith is the sense of unity and brotherhood I discovered within the Muslim community. There’s a beautiful Islamic principle: “Want for your brother what you want for yourself,” and I’ve witnessed this lived out daily. People genuinely care for one another, supporting each other through life’s challenges. This unity extends beyond just Muslims – Islam promotes harmony among all people, regardless of their background.

Through embracing Islam, my entire family has found a peace we never thought possible. My father, my brothers, my children – we’ve all experienced this profound sense of tranquility that comes from submitting to Allah’s guidance. It’s a blessing that brings tears to my eyes when I reflect on how far we’ve come.

I encourage everyone to approach Islam with an open heart, free from preconceived notions. Visit your local mosque, meet the community, and see for yourself the charity, togetherness, and family values that Islam promotes. You’ll find that Muslims come from all backgrounds – you might walk past someone like me, a white British man, and never realize they’re Muslim. Islam is for everyone, transcending race, nationality, and culture.

Let us remember that our country has always been built on diversity. Many who came here fought for this nation and deserve to be welcomed with open arms, just as Islam teaches us to welcome others. The true message of Islam calls for unity among all people – Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, everyone. We should not allow ourselves to be divided when we share so much common ground.

When our eyes open to the truth, our hearts follow. My simple advice is to unite as one human family, doing good by each other and rejecting those who seek to create division. Out of chaos comes clarity, and the path forward is one of compassion, understanding, and mutual respect.
