イスラム教では、アッラーが「最も公正であり、かつ慈悲深い」と理解しています。善良で親切・思いやりのある人々を見ても、彼らがムスリムでなくとも、アッラーの知恵と正義は私たち人間の理解を超えていることを忘れてはなりません。
アッラーはこの世において善行を報いられますが、来世の事柄はすべてアッラーのみが決定します。イスラム教の真理を受け取ったことがなく、あるいは歪めた形でしか知らなかった人々は、自分が知り得ないことについて罰せられることはありません。
イスラム教では、責任が問われるのはメッセージが明確に伝えられ、理解されたときだけです。もし誰かが真実を明瞭に受け取り、それを積極的に拒否したなら、その選択には責任があります。しかし、イスラム教を正しく学ぶ機会すら得られなかった人々—隔離されたコミュニティで暮らしていたり、不正確な情報に晒されていたりする場合—は、アッラーの完璧なる知恵に基づき審判の日に試されます。
この理解は、アッラーの無限の慈悲と公正を映し出します。誰が楽園か地獄へ入るかを決めることは決してできず、その知識はアッラーのみが持つものです。我々の役割は、イスラム教のメッセージを親切で賢明に伝えることであり、すべての創造物に対するアッラーの完璧な判断を信頼し続けることです。
In Islam, we understand that Allah is the Most Just and Most Merciful. When we see good people who are kind, caring, and help others but are not Muslim, we must remember that Allah’s wisdom and justice surpass our human understanding.
Allah rewards good deeds in this world, but for the hereafter, the matter is with Allah alone. Those who have never received the true message of Islam, or who received a distorted version of it, will not be punished for what they did not know.
Islam teaches that accountability comes only when the message has been clearly conveyed and understood. If someone actively rejects the truth after receiving it with clarity, then they bear responsibility for that choice. However, for those who never had the opportunity to learn about Islam properly – whether living in isolated communities or exposed to incorrect information – their test will come on the Day of Judgment according to Allah’s perfect wisdom.
This understanding reflects Allah’s infinite mercy and justice. We should never presume to know who will enter Paradise or Hellfire, as this knowledge belongs only to Allah. Our role is to convey the message of Islam with kindness and wisdom, while trusting in Allah’s perfect judgment for all His creation.
